Brunswick Marine in EMEA and MV-Marin Boats to Cooperate on Marketing and Distribution
VERVIERS, Belgium, Sept. 20, 2007 – Brunswick Corporation (NYSE: BC) and MV-Marin Oy, an increasingly popular brand in the Nordic countries, have announced an exclusive marketing and distribution agreement with Brunswick Marine in Finland and The Baltic States, a unit of Brunswick Marine in Europe, Middle-East and Africa (EMEA).
Brunswick Marine will immediately expand representation of MV-Marin in the region, beginning with Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, while seeking further opportunities to expand the distribution of MV-Marin Boats into other European and other markets.
“Through agreements such as this, including our recently completed pact with Silver Boats, we are continuing to enhance and expand our presence in the marketplace,” explained Jacques Bronchart, president – Brunswick Marine in EMEA. “We are solidifying our position to be able to serve our distribution network with the best possible products in all segments.”
MV-Marin, based in Lappeenranta, Finland, has proved increasingly popular in Finland. The brand is known for its quality and performance, as highlighted by its MV 6600 cabin boat. MV-Marin currently makes five base models of boats, all of which will feature Mercury Marine propulsion from Brunswick Marine in EMEA. This will include Mercury and Mariner outboard engines, MerCruiser sterndrive engines and diesel engines from Cummins-MerCruiser.
