Mercury Marine Launches Next Generation of SmartTow with GPS Speed: SmartTow Pro
FOND DU LAC, Wis. – Building upon its success last year with the introduction of SmartTow, Mercury Marine has upped the ante with launching SmartTow Pro. This new version creates a GPS Speed-based version of the popular SmartTow RPM-based system.
The user-friendly SmartTow Pro enables the driver to enter the desired speed, create and save custom launch profiles (or select from preset launch profiles), throw the hammer down – and let the Digital Throttle & Shift (DTS) system do the rest. Unique to SmartTow, intensity of acceleration and duration of overshot are customizable for each boat and individual, allowing for infinite numbers of launch profiles.
The DTS system controls follow the launch profile to the selected speed all via an easy-to-use SC1000 speedometer gauge.
The product comes standard with GPS input.

The new SmartTow Pro comes with various gauge configurations and works on all DTS engines built after July 2007. Look or ask for SmartTow Pro to be installed on your boat our installed by your dealer. Installation is very simple and no calibrations or set-ups are needed.
