Mercury launches new and improved Parts Express program and Web site

FOND DU LAC, Wis. – In the spirit of maintaining an industry-renowned standard of service, quality, and innovation, Mercury Marine recently announced a redesign of its popular Parts Express program and Web site.

The new site—scheduled to launch in early February—will be easier for Mercury dealers to manage while providing an intuitive online shopping experience for the company's retail customers.

Originally implemented in 2000, MercuryPartsExpress.com has been a useful tool for building relationships between online shoppers and local dealerships. The Web site allows consumers to order Mercury parts and accessories online. The parts and accessories are then delivered, picked up or installed through a local dealer.

Online shoppers will appreciate the new, easy-to-use interface. The new Parts Express will be launched with Mercury's most popular items in early February. Features and parts will be expanded throughout the spring to include:

  • More than 50,000 parts clearly sorted into popular categories
  • A site search function, which will allow users to find parts by description, part number, engine, model year or serial number
  • A "My Engine" feature keeps track of each customer's engine and tailors searches for items on the site based on the customer's specific engine model.

“This is a fantastic improvement to the Part Express Web site,” said Adam Horwitz, director, marketing and technology management. “The Parts Express program has always been well received by Mercury Marine's customers, and we expect that these site improvements will help to achieve even greater customer satisfaction.

“Our customers demand easy access to Mercury parts and information. This is the first step of our 2008 Web development plans to establish an online marine community.”

The new Parts Express program is an extension of each dealer's existing storefront, or personalized site, enabling customers to expect the same level of customer service commitment from their trusted local retailer.

Mercury parts and accessories are available for immediate purchase at www.MercuryPartsExpress.com or www.MercuryMarine.com.
