Land ‘N’ Sea Distributing, Inc., Expands Its Detroit Warehouse
POMPANO BEACH, Fla., April 2, 2008 - Land ‘N' Sea Distributing, Inc., has announced the completion of a major expansion of its Detroit warehouse. This expansion adds approximately 8,200 square feet to the 42,000-square-foot facility. This extra capacity has resulted in the addition of over 4,500 new parts, and a new mezzanine with 500 stocking shelves to improve staging, processing, and fulfillment of orders.
“We are pleased to provide this enhancement of our service capabilities to customers in this region,” said Tom Schuessler, president of parts & accessories distribution for Land ‘N' Sea. “The timing of this expansion could not have been better as we prepare for a busy Midwest boating season.”
“Additional delivery trucks and employees are being added to take advantage of increased warehouse capacity,” according to Michael Conners, Land ‘N' Sea's vice president of Midwest operations. “We will now have at least 12 truck routes, 40 employees, and increased inventory in this warehouse to complement our industry leading same-day or next-day delivery of over 18,000 unique parts and accessories to our customers.”
