Sea Ray Wins Consumers Digest "Best Buy" Award
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – June 24, 2008 – Sea Ray Boats is pleased to announce that its popular 205 Sport has been certified a Consumers Digest magazine Best Buy. On average, this rating is awarded to fewer than three percent of the competing models in any given product category.
“We’re very proud to be recognized as having exceptional value in today’s highly competitive marine marketplace,” says Rick Stone, president of Sea Ray Boats. “The Consumers Digest Best Buy certification is a very credible and prestigious third-party acknowledgement of our product quality and customer satisfaction. As Sea Ray continues to earn awards, we continue to provide our customers with boats that fit their needs and reinforce our brand promise: to be the best.”
In their recently released August 2008 issue, the editors at Consumers Digest remarked that the Sea Ray 205 Sport “delivers big fun for its price,” citing that it has “plenty of oomph for water skiers and kids on tow tubes” and includes popular water-sports options like an aluminum tower and board racks. “Many bowriders aren’t equipped to handle these,” say the editors.
“This achievement holds the promise that [Sea Ray] will continue to research and develop products that satisfy the growing needs of enlightened consumers well into the future,” says Randy Weber, publisher of Consumers Digest magazine, in a letter to Rick Stone. “Congratulations! Your company has earned it.”
