Brunswick Freshwater Boat Group Names Tim Schiek President - HarrisKayot

KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 18, 2006 – The Brunswick Freshwater Boat Group, a unit of the Brunswick Boat Group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Timothy M. Schiek, 38, as president of HarrisKayot of Ft. Wayne, Ind. He succeeds James M. “Jimmy” Poiry, who resigned to pursue a new career opportunity outside the marine industry.

Schiek, who will continue to serve as vice president and general manager – pontoon and deckboats for the Freshwater Boat Group, will now have expanded operational responsibilities for HarrisKayot.

“Tim's marine experience, along with his strategic planning and product development skills, uniquely suits him to lead this business,” said Andrew E. Graves, president – Freshwater Boat Group. “He will continue HarrisKayot's excellent track record in further expanding its presence in the pontoon and deckboat markets.”

For the past two years, Schiek has led the team that has successfully launched Brunswick's High Performance Product Development (HPPD) initiative across the Company's marine businesses. Schiek has held various positions of increasing responsibility since joining Brunswick in 1995, including positions with Mercury Marine, the Brunswick Boat Group and Brunswick Corporation. He holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh, and an MBA from Marquette University in Milwaukee.
