Attwood Announces the Release of the Most Energy Efficient LED Navigational Lights in the Marine Industry
LOWELL, Mich. – March 13, 2007 – Attwood Corporation is introducing a new series of navigational lights that utilize proprietary optical and electrical design techniques to offer the brightest, highest performing, most energy efficient and most affordable LED lighting solutions in the marine industry.
“Through lens optimization, our products are capable of harnessing nearly 90 percent of the LED light output and directing it into a specific functional pattern,” said Kris Neff, category director, lighting – Attwood Corporation. “As a result, these lights exceed U.S. Coast Guard requirements with fewer and lower wattage LEDs. This translates into an extremely energy efficient package that draws considerably less power than any LED or incandescent navigational light on the market today.”
In addition to performance and efficiency, Attwood's new LED navigational light series is designed for extreme durability. Attwood's new LED navigational light series includes both 1 NM and 2 NM combination bow and side lights and 2 NM stern navigational lights.
