New Life Fitness X7 Elliptical Cross-Trainer Gets Personal

Electronic Adjustable Stride Helps Users Target Specific Muscle Groups

DENVER (Aug. 2, 2007) – Life Fitness is taking a personal approach with the introduction of its latest elliptical cross-trainer, the X7, which features the new Whisper eStrideTM technology for quiet, fluid electronic stride adjustments.

Now exercisers can easily adjust their stride length (18 inches – 24 inches) in 1-inch increments with the touch of a button to work different muscle groups – shorter strides to concentrate on quads and longer strides to work glutes. The conveniently located Activity Zone makes stride length and resistance level changes a breeze with easy-access controls and a bright LCD screen that shows exercisers what muscle groups they're working at any time.

From the Activity Zone, exercisers also can spice up their workout using the X7's Leg Sculptor™ or Total Body Trainer modes. The Leg Sculptor mode automatically adjusts the stride length in 2-inch increments from shortest to longest and back, working all muscle groups. The Total Body mode serves as a coach throughout the user's workout.

“The X7 was really created with the home user in mind, as the adjustable stride length not only lets users target different muscle groups, but also allows users to find the stride length that is most comfortable for them,” said Dan Wille, vice president, consumer retail business for Life Fitness. “Plus, it addresses the little details with a removable accessory tray and cup holders for easy cleaning.”

Keeping comfort in mind, the X7 is the first elliptical cross-trainer to incorporate the same shock absorption technology that makes Life Fitness treadmills the best in the world. The FlexPedalTM shock absorption system provides flexible cushioning to increase foot comfort during workouts.

The X7 is available with a Basic or Advanced Workouts Console that features a sharp LCD display with crisp, easy-to-read graphics and text. The Basic Workouts Console includes five exercise programs, while the Advanced Workouts Console provides more variety with10 programs and the ability to create two user profiles. Contact heart rate hand sensors are located on the Activity Zone handle bars and the Advanced Workouts Console includes a wireless heart rate monitor.

Pricing for the X7 Elliptical Cross-Trainer is $3,899 with the Basic Workouts Console and $4,199 with the Advanced Workouts Console. Visit www.lifefitness.com or call 1-800-634-8637 for more information.
