The Smartest Treadmill on the Block
Life Fitness Leads the Revolution in Entertainment and Exercise Experience

SAN FRANCISCO (March 29, 2007) – Today, at the 2007 IHRSA Convention, Life Fitness introduced its most innovative treadmills to date – answering the call for fitness equipment that engages both body and mind. With its sleek, sophisticated design, the new 95 Series delivers a stunning lineup of features including seamless iPod® integration, a Virtual Trainer for workout motivation and education, USB connectivity and vibrant workout landscapes.

“For the last decade Life Fitness has led the revolution in merging entertainment with exercise equipment,” said John Stransky, president of Life Fitness. “This new treadmill combines innovative entertainment and motivational features to deliver the ultimate user experience.”

The First to Deliver Seamless iPod Integration

It seemed only natural that the leader in fitness equipment be first to partner with the top provider in digital entertainment to create a seamless integration with the iPod. This compatibility makes it possible for iPod users to plug in and charge their iPods and iPod nanos, control their iPod playlists from the console and watch iPod-delivered video on the equipment's large LCD screen.

With the new 95Te and 95Ti treadmills, exercisers can easily view their playlists and watch iPod-delivered video content on the 95Te's 15” integrated screen or on the 95Ti's optional 17” Attachable TV. Users can plug their headphones directly into the equipment console or their iPod while safely storing their player in the iPod holding tray.

Life Fitness Virtual Trainer – the Face of the Future
Life Fitness recognized the growing need to provide ongoing workout support for a broader range of exercisers. The new 95 Series treadmills provide exercisers with a unique tool at their fingertips – the Life Fitness Virtual Trainer – to motivate and educate over the duration of their workout.

The Virtual Trainer takes the intimidation out of beginning a new workout and provides ongoing encouragement. With the push of a button, a male or female face appears on the integrated LCD screen and advises the user on every aspect of the workout, from describing workout programs to updates on workout statistics including distance, calories and time.

Training Assistance in a Flash
To further personalize the workout experience, Life Fitness also added a USB port to the new 95 Series treadmills, which enables users and trainers alike to create and save preset workouts and track the user's progress.

Now users and trainers can store customized workouts on a USB memory stick that they plug directly into the treadmill so they can view and select the user's workout program on the equipment's integrated LCD screen. At the end of the workout, they can save the results on the USB stick and track performance over time.

“The USB port enables exercisers to get on and go,” Stransky said. “Once they select their preset workout, the treadmill automatically reads their settings and begins their program without the need for any data entry. It gives trainers a chance to easily provide their clients with customized workouts.”

It also can be used for easy software upgrades.

Building upon the sleek look of the latest Life Fitness cardiovascular products, the new 95 Series features an inviting design using sophisticated, sculptural forms and clear, open sightlines.

No detail ignored, the new treadmills feature a larger running surface (22” x 60”) so exercisers enjoy more space while working out; lower step-up height (9.5”) for easy entry and exit; larger handrails (26” x 5”) so exercisers feel more secure; a new Activity Zone that places the most used controls at the user's fingertips; and a built-in touch screen ergonomically designed to optimize viewing for users of different heights and to minimize glare. Fitness facilities also will enjoy the machine's smaller footprint (37” x 80”), removable cup holders for easy cleaning and reduced decibel level for a quieter environment.

Workout LandscapeTM Perspectives
The new 95 Series Treadmills also feature the visually appealing Workout Landscape Perspectives, which enable exercisers to select from three motivating landscapes – a Mountain, 400 Meter Track or 5K Nature Trail. Users can make on-the-fly perspective changes by pressing the designated button on the LCD screen.

The new 95 Series is available in two models. The 95Te features the 15” E3 Integrated LCD System with Touch Screen Technology, which can be used to control entertainment and workout content as well as watch TV. The 95Ti features the 7” E3 Integrated LCD System with Touch Screen Technology, which can be used to control entertainment and workout content (17” Attachable TV available).
