New Hybrid Entertainment Center Now Open in Elkhorn, Neb.
MUSKEGON, Mich., May 14, 2008 – Owners of Thunder Bowl of Council Bluffs, Iowa, the premier bowling center in Western Iowa and Eastern Nebraska, have opened a brand-new, indoor family entertainment center.
Thunder Alley, an 86,000-square-foot facility, located on nine acres at 20902 Cumberland Drive, Elkhorn, Neb., sports a 40-lane hybrid bowling center, two lanes of Virtual Bowling by Brunswick, arcade, an indoor electric go-kart track, two-story laser tag arena, redemption area and more, - all in one location.
The 40 bowling lanes are separated by a full-service bar in 24- and 16-lane configurations, offering bowling as an entertainment option to guests both in the traditional bowling center setting, and in a unique boutique atmosphere.
The 24 lanes, which are geared toward league bowlers, group events and families with children, feature a more traditional bowling center atmosphere with Brunswick Frameworx® furniture along with 36-inch LCD monitors and custom Lanescape® masking units. The 16-lane side, also called the Fahrenheit Club, offers a suite-like atmosphere that includes Brunswick Striking Line™ furniture -- comfortable living-room-styled sofas, and eight, two-lane projection systems.
The Fahrenheit Club is marketed as a VIP area within Thunder Alley, and is available to groups who may not normally consider bowling as a group event. It is also a venue used to attract upscale groups for adult birthday parties, corporate events and more.
