Brunswick Zone XL Lone Tree and Adaptive Adventures Team Up To Bowl for America’s Wounded Heroes

Fundraiser to Include Special Appearances by Erik Weihenmayer, Colorado Mammoth Players and Former Denver Broncos Players

Lone Tree, Colo. (July 9, 2008) – Dozens of local businesses, community organizations and high-profile personalities are teaming up to bowl in support of America’s wounded veterans. Brunswick Zone XL Lone Tree and Adaptive Adventures are partnering to host “Bowling for America’s Wounded Heroes” on Saturday, July 19, from 5-8 p.m. at Brunswick Zone XL in Lone Tree located at 9255 Kimmer Dr. in Lone Tree, Colo. The charity event, which includes bowling, laser tag, door prizes, and a silent auction, will support Adaptive Adventures’ programs to help recently injured armed forces personnel through outdoor sports and recreation.

Special guest appearances will include Erik Weihenmayer, the first blind man in history to summate all seven peaks of the seven continents, as well as Colorado Mammoth players and former Denver Broncos players.

“This is an extraordinary event that will help us raise awareness for our programs to support recently injured armed forces,” said Joel Berman, executive director of Adaptive Adventures. “Our programs offer opportunities for people with all types of physical disabilities and, by bowling for America’s wounded heroes, we can help make their lives a little brighter.”

Sponsors can join the event at different levels, ranging from $300 to $1,000 or $50 for an individual participant. For more information on sponsorships, visit http://www.adaptiveadventures.org/aboutUs/events/brunswick/brunswick-bowling-fundraiser.html. The event is open to the public.

“We are honored to host and support this fundraiser at Brunswick Zone XL to bring greater awareness to Adaptive Adventures and the important services the organization provides,” said Warren Hardie, president of Brunswick Bowling & Billiards.
