WCCO Radio And Brunswick Zone XL Team Up For First Annual Dave Lee Gutter Bowl
BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. (Jan., 2007) – WCCO Radio will host the First Annual Dave Lee Gutter Bowl tournament to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Minnesota on Jan. 26 from 6 a.m. to noon at Brunswick Zone XL Brooklyn Park.
“We are thrilled to produce the first-ever WCCO Radio Morning News Bowling Tournament, The Dave Lee Gutter Bowl,” said Dave Lee, host of the Morning News on WCCO Radio. “This tournament will not only help raise awareness of blood diseases in Minnesota, but will provide an enjoyable bowling experience at a fun venue like Brunswick Zone XL.”
Men and women bowlers of all skill levels are invited to join the WCCO Radio tournament and help the fight against blood cancers in Minnesota. The event will feature 45 six-person teams in the no-tap bowling format.
The bowling event will include breakfast, a silent auction, prizes and raffle drawings. Dave Lee and the WCCO Radio Morning News will host a live radio broadcast, with appearances by Eleanor Mondale and Susie Jones of “Mondale & Jones” and other radio personalities. The entry fee for a six-person team is $1,000 and includes bowling shirts, rental shoes and one commemorative bowling ball per team.
