Hupka Named General Manager Of Brunswick Zone XL Blaine
BLAINE, Minn. (Feb. 6, 2007) – Garth Hupka has been appointed general manager of Brunswick Zone XL Blaine, the new state-of-the-art bowling and entertainment center scheduled to open this summer on the northwest corner of Highway 65 and 113th Avenue.
Hupka's responsibilities will include overseeing the day-to-day operations, including managing its 130 employees, as well as growing the use of the 55,000 square-foot facility.
“I am thrilled to join the Brunswick Zone family,” said Hupka. “Brunswick is helping to define and drive the ‘changing face' of bowling, and I look forward to providing customers with the best experience possible at Brunswick Zone XL Blaine.”
Hupka joined Brunswick ten years ago as general manager of Red's, a bowling and entertainment complex located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He also has experience in operations and bar management.
Hupka earned a bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of Alberta in Alberta, Canada and currently resides in Andover, Minn.
Brunswick Zone XL Blaine is designed to meet the entertainment needs of families, friends, groups and businesses seeking to enjoy everything from children's birthday parties, to casual bowling fun, to a place to celebrate a special occasion or hold a serious league competition.
