New Amusement Park Will Feature Virtual Bowling by Brunswick
MUSKEGON, Mich., April 30, 2007 – Tailfins Amusement Park, a brand-new family entertainment center located in the Village of Put-in-Bay on South Bass Island, Ohio, will include two lanes of Virtual Bowling by Brunswick among its attractions.
The three-acre amusement park, scheduled to open May 25, is the largest new business the island has seen in decades.
A well-known boating destination, South Bass Island is located in the western basin of Lake Erie, and has been called the most famous of the Lake Erie islands with two million visitors every year.
Park owners Bill and Lisa Neff conducted research to find the latest, state-of-the-art amusement attractions for their facility, while offering a fun atmosphere for all ages to enjoy.
In addition to Virtual Bowling, Tailfins will provide guests with many fun attractions, including Ohio's first outdoor electric-powered go-kart track, bumper boats, Water Wars water balloon game, remote control boats, video arcade games, redemption games, batting and soccer cages, a picnic area and more.
Virtual Bowling combines the popularity of bowling with today's high-tech video and simulation games. Complete with realistic sounds, bowlers roll a ball down a shortened lane, where sensors detect the speed and direction of the ball as it enters the virtual world. The lanes at Tailfins will be equipped for regulation bowling balls, along with a swipe card system compatible with Tailfin's redemption center.
