Christopher F. Dekker
Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

Chris Dekker is Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Brunswick Corporation. Dekker leads the team providing legal services to the Brunswick enterprise, and is also responsible for the Corporate Ethics program, Corporate Compliance function and Environmental, Health and Safety programs.

He works with the company’s Board of Directors and management regarding securities and governance matters. He was appointed to the position in October 2014 and joined Brunswick in 2010 as Associate General Counsel responsible for litigation, employment and compliance.

Before joining Brunswick, Dekker was employed in the law department at Caterpillar Inc. beginning in 2001 and served in a variety of positions. Prior to joining Caterpillar, he was a partner at the Chicago law firm now known as Dykema Gossett.

Dekker earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Michigan and his JD from DePaul University of College of Law.
