In January 2019, David M. Foulkes was appointed Brunswick's chief executive officer.

Mr. Foulkes had served as president - Brunswick marine consumer solutions, as well as retaining his role as Brunswick’s chief technology officer (CTO).

In that most recent position, Mr. Foulkes had responsibility for the Brunswick Boat Group, NAUTIC-ON, Brunswick Marine Services, the Brunswick iJET Innovation Lab at the University of Illinois Research Park, and Brunswick's Advanced Design Methods.

Mr. Foulkes joined Brunswick in 2007 and for ten years he was head of product development at Mercury Marine, during which time he led the development of Mercury's line-up of market-leading outboard engines, including the recently introduced V-6 and V-8 outboard engines and advanced vessel controls, as well as the new MerCruiser gasoline and diesel inboard/sterndrive engines.

Since 2012, Mr. Foulkes also has had responsibility for Mercury Racing, and for the past five years worked closely with the Mercury Racing leadership team to significantly grow the business and introduce an unprecedented range of new high-performance Racing outboard and sterndrive products.

In his role as Brunswick’s CTO, Mr. Foulkes has overseen the launch of NAUTIC-ON and Brunswick's iJET Innovation Lab at the University of Illinois. He also championed the effort to form Brunswick's joint-venture with TechNexus to develop a portfolio of investments in start-up companies, and a separate effort to introduce a new Design Thinking initiative to the Company.

Previously, Mr. Foulkes had spent 18 years with Ford Motor Company in a series of assignments of progressing responsibilities. He previously had also worked with Shell Exploration and the Ministry of Defense, both in the United Kingdom. He has a bachelor’s degree in aeronautics and a master’s degree in structural and fluid mechanics from Imperial College in London.

William L. Metzger became Brunswick Corporation’s senior vice president - chief financial officer in March 2013. Previously, he had been vice president - treasurer of the Company since May 2001.

Mr. Metzger joined Brunswick in 1987 as manager of special projects in the accounting department. In 1991, he was assigned to Brunswick’s internal audit staff as a manager, and in 1996 was named director - corporate accounting. In 2000, Mr. Metzger was named assistant vice president - corporate finance.

Mr. Metzger has a bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University and a master’s degree in management from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Huw S. Bower was named president of the Brunswick Boat Group in April 2016. Most recently, he was president of Boston Whaler Group. Mr. Bower is responsible for the 15 brands that comprise the Brunswick Boat Group.

As President of Boston Whaler Group, Mr. Bower had been responsible for managing the Boston Whaler, Brunswick Commercial & Government Products, Rayglass, and Brunswick’s European boat brands. He had been in that position since 2013.

Prior to that, Mr. Bower served as president of Lowe Boats, where his efforts led to significantly strengthening and expanding the product portfolio, building strong dealer relationships while adding new stores to the dealer body and driving market share gains. He joined Brunswick in 2006, initially leading the strategic planning and business development functions for Brunswick’s outboard-powered boat brands.

Mr. Bower has a Master of Arts from the University of Edinburgh and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. He was a captain in the British Army and served with Royal Marine Commando units in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

Chris Drees was named President of Mercury Marine, based in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, on April 2019. He most recently was president of marine parts and accessories, having assumed that role in 2018.

Mr. Drees joined Mercury Marine in 1998, and during his first eight years held a variety of positions within the Company, including roles in purchasing, sales and marketing, and as general manager of the Mercury propeller business. From 2006 through 2014, Mr. Drees led Mercury’s Attwood operations, first as the chief operating officer and then as president. In 2014, Mr. Drees was promoted to vice president - mercury global operations, before moving to marine parts and accessories four years later.

Mr. Drees earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and a Master of Business Administration from Marquette University.

In 2019, Brenna Preisser was promoted to president - business acceleration, as well as retaining her responsibilities as chief human resources officer.

Ms. Preisser added responsibilities for Freedom Boat Club, the Boating Services Network, NAUTIC-ON, and other various strategic technology and advanced design initiatives.

Ms. Preisser was elected Brunswick’s vice president and chief human resources officer effective March 31, 2016. Ms. Preisser previously was the senior director – human resources for Brunswick Corporation.

Ms. Preisser joined the Brunswick Boat Group in 2004 as a division human resources manager in Knoxville, Tenn. She progressed through a series of assignments of increasing responsibility within the Boat Group until 2011, when she was named director – talent management for Brunswick Corporation, focusing on succession planning and other key areas. During her time in that position, Ms. Preisser added the responsibilities of vice president – human resources for the Company’s former Bowling & Billiards division. In 2013, she was named vice president – human resources for Life Fitness, returning to the corporate staff in 2015.

Ms. Preisser has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Ohio University in Athens, and a Master of Business Administration from Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio.

Chris F. Dekker is vice president, general counsel and secretary for Brunswick Corporation. Mr. Dekker leads the team providing legal services to the Brunswick enterprise, and is also responsible for the Corporate Ethics program, Corporate Compliance function and Environmental, Health and Safety programs.

He works with the company’s board of directors and management regarding securities and governance matters. He was appointed to the position in October 2014 and joined Brunswick in 2010 as associate general counsel responsible for litigation, employment, and compliance.

Before joining Brunswick, Mr. Dekker was employed in the law department at Caterpillar, Inc. beginning in 2001 and served in a variety of positions. Before joining Caterpillar, he was a partner at the Chicago law firm now known as Dykema Gossett.

Mr. Dekker earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Michigan and his Doctor of Laws from DePaul University of College of Law.

Randall S. Altman became vice president - controller of Brunswick Corporation in June 2019. Previously, he had been vice president – treasurer since March 2013. He previously had been vice president and chief financial officer for Brunswick Bowling & Billiards, a position he had held since 2006.

Mr. Altman joined Brunswick in 2003 as senior manager - finance, and later that year was promoted to director of that function.

Mr. Altman has both his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and his Master of Business Administration from Michigan State University.

Jeffry K. Behan was named vice president - corporate strategy of Brunswick in May 2015. He has been with the Company since 1991, joining Mercury Marine as a market research analyst.

He held several positions of increasing responsibility at Mercury Marine before becoming general manager of Mercury Marine’s parts and accessories business unit in 2002, gaining a strong knowledge of Mercury products, channels and consumers. In 2004, Mr. Behan moved to the Boat Group where he was responsible for strategy, business planning, and acquisitions. Mr. Behan recently added the newly created role of President - Aluminum Commercial Operations. During his time in the Boat Group, he also served as vice president - marine distribution, further strengthening Brunswick’s distribution networks, as well as president of the Bayliner and Trophy boats.

Danielle Brown was named Brunswick’s vice president - chief information officer in November 2016.

She joined Brunswick from DuPont, where she most recently led global IT transformation in preparation for the merger of DuPont and Dow Chemical. During her 16-year career with the chemical and agricultural industry leader, Ms. Brown, a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, has held several positions of increasing responsibility within information technology, serving in operations and corporate assignments in the U.S. and Asia. Most notably, as the chief information officer for DuPont's $3-billion crop protection business, she supported growth-related strategies focused on customer outreach in new and emerging markets.

Ms. Brown has a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania as well as earning a Master of Science in Information Systems, and a Master of Business Administration from Pennsylvania State University and Drexel University, respectively.

Brent G. Dahl was named vice president – internal audit of Brunswick Corporation in June 2015. He is responsible for the internal audit function serving the corporate office, as well as Brunswick’s business units.

Mr. Dahl most recently was the assistant corporate controller for Brunswick and has been with the Company since 2002. During this time, Mr. Dahl has served in several roles of increasing responsibility, including controller of the Company’s former Bowling & Billiards operation.

Before joining Brunswick, Mr. Dahl worked for ten years in public accounting at Arthur Andersen, LLP, and is a certified public accountant. He is a graduate of Augustana College in Rock Island, Il.

In January 2015, Kevin S. Grodzki was named Brunswick Corporation’s vice president - communications and public affairs. He is responsible for directing activities related to internal and external communications, managing Brunswick’s organizational relationships within its industries as well as community and government relations.

Mr. Grodzki most recently served as vice president and president - global sales and marketing for Mercury Marine, and previously had been president – Mercury Sales, Marketing & Commercial Operations. He had been with Mercury since 2005. Prior to that assignment, Mr. Grodzki was president and chief executive officer of Brunswick’s Life Fitness division.

Mr. Grodzki joined Brunswick in 2000 from the Crompton Corporation, where he was vice president of the company’s $500-million Polymer Additives Company. He spent the first 22 years of his career with E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Co., Inc., Wilmington, Delaware. At DuPont, he held several senior management positions in the company’s chemical, electronics, medical and printing and publishing divisions in 11 different locations throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. These businesses focused on the development, manufacture, sales, and support of high-tech equipment for medical and electronic imaging applications.

Mr. Grodzki earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from St. Francis University, Loretto, Pa., and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Delaware.

Ryan M. Gwillim is Brunswick’s vice president – finance and treasurer, assuming those duties in June 2019. He is responsible for treasury, mergers and acquisitions, and investor relations. Since September 2017, Gwillim had been vice president – investor relations.

Mr. Gwillim joined Brunswick’s legal team as corporate counsel in 2011 and became assistant general counsel – corporate and securities, where he was responsible for the Company’s SEC compliance and financial reporting processes, a year later. He was named Associate General Counsel - International in 2015.

Mr. Gwillim, who is also a certified public accountant, attended the University of Illinois, where he received both his bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting as well as his law degree. Before joining Brunswick, Mr. Gwillim was with Baker & McKenzie in Chicago as an associate in their corporate and securities practice group.

Nancy Loube became vice president - tax, in July 2019. She reports to William L. Metzger, senior vice president, and chief financial officer, and had previously been assistant vice president - tax, having joined the Company in 2018.

Immediately prior to Brunswick, Ms. Loube was with GE Energy Financial Services, where she was vice president of international tax. She had joined GE in 2003. Prior to GE, Ms. Loube had served eight years in public accounting with Ernst & Young and KPMG, as well as two years in the corporate counsel's office of USF&G Insurance.

Ms. Loube has a degree in economics and public policy from the University of Chicago, a law degree from the University of Maryland Law School, a master’s degree in tax from Georgetown University Law Center, and a certificate in accounting from the University of Southern California.

As the former executive vice president and chief financial officer of CA Technologies, Nancy E. Cooper brings financial acumen and technology experience to our Board. Ms. Cooper’s extensive experience as a chief financial officer and her other financial leadership roles for several companies, as well as her service on the audit committees of two other public companies, assists the Board in several areas including finance, internal control, and audit matters.

From 2006 to 2011, Ms. Cooper served as the executive vice president and chief financial officer of CA Technologies, Inc., one of the largest independent software corporations in the world. She was also the chief financial officer of IMS Health, Inc., a global information and technology services company from 2001 to 2006. Presently, she serves as the Director of The Mosaic Company, Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, and Aptiv PLC, and previously served as Director of Teradata Corporation.

As the former President of Deere & Company’s largest division, David C. Everitt brings his engineering experience, global expertise, and extensive knowledge of dealer and distribution issues to our Board. Mr. Everitt also provides crucial operations, manufacturing, and marketing experience.

From 2009 to 2012, Mr. Everitt served as the president, agricultural and turf division—North America, Asia, Australia, Sub-Saharan, and South Africa, and Global Tractor and Turf Products of Deere & Company, the world’s largest manufacturer of agricultural equipment and a major U.S. producer of construction, forestry, and lawn and grounds care equipment.

He also served as president, agricultural division—North America, Australia, Asia, and Global Tractor and Implement Sourcing from 2006 to 2009. From 2001 to 2006 he was president, agricultural division—Europe, Africa, South America, and Global Harvesting Equipment Sourcing.

Presently he serves as a director for Nutrien Ltd., Allison Transmission Holdings, Inc., and Harsco Corporation, and previously served as Director of Agrium Inc.

In January 2019, Manuel A. Fernandez was named non-executive chairman of Brunswick Corporation. As the former chairman and chief executive officer of a leading technology company and the Managing Director of a venture capital partnership, Mr. Fernandez brings significant experience and knowledge to our Board regarding strategic planning, innovation, technology, acquisitions, corporate governance, distribution, operations, and human resources. Mr. Fernandez’s extensive experience in a variety of businesses with strong commercial product offerings, including three technology companies, allows him to provide invaluable advice and guidance to our Company’s management and Board.

From 1991 to 1999, Mr. Fernandez served as chairman, chief executive officer, and president of Gartner Group, a technology research and advisory firm. He was the executive chairman of Sysco Corporation, a marketer and distributor of foodservice products from 2012 to 2013 and has served as the non-executive chairman of Sysco Corporation from 2009 to 2012. Mr. Fernandez has been the managing director of SI Ventures, LLC, a venture capital partnership, from 1998 to present.

Previously, he served as president and chief executive officer at Dataquest, Inc., Gavilan Computer Corporation, and Zilog Incorporated. Currently, director of SI Ventures, LLC, Leggett and Platt Incorporated, and Performance Food Group. Mr. Fernandez previously served as chairman of the University of Florida Board of Trustees, chairman of Emeritus of Gartner, Inc., and director of Flowers Foods, Inc., Stanley Black & Decker, Inc., Tibco Software, Inc., and Time, Inc.

As an experienced leader who has served a diverse profile of companies, from globally recognized technology leaders to high-growth, Silicon Valley innovators, Lauren Patricia Flaherty brings extensive experience and strategic planning skills to Brunswick's Board. Ms. Flaherty's experience assists the Board in several areas including marketing, technology, and global operations. She is a member of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and the Human Resources and Compensation Committee.

From 2013 to 2018, Ms. Flaherty served as the executive vice president and chief marketing officer at CA Technologies, a global developer of licensed enterprise software products and services, which was acquired by Broadcom in November 2018. She was the chief marketing officer and executive vice president at Juniper Networks, Inc. from 2009 to 2013 and was the chief marketing officer of Nortel Networks from 2006 to 2009.

She also held various positions of increasing responsibility at IBM from 1980 to 2006. Ms. Flaherty also served on the Board of Xactly Corp., a market leader in SaaS-based sales performance software from March 2016 to August 2017.

As the former President and Chief Executive Officer of a global leader in power solutions, Joseph W. McClanathan brings extensive expertise in manufacturing, sales and marketing, and international business operations to our Board. Mr. McClanathan also provides a unique insight into consumer solutions and will assist management and the Board with his significant experience with financial issues, human resources, executive compensation, and strategic planning.

From 2004 to 2012, Mr. McClanathan served as president and chief executive officer for Household Products Division of Energizer Holdings, Inc., a leading manufacturer of primary batteries, portable flashlights, and lanterns.

From 1999 to 2004, he was president of North America, Energizer Holdings. He previously served in various leadership roles at Ralston Purina, prior to the Energizer spinoff, including vice president - chief technology officer of Eveready Battery Company, vice president - general manager of Energizer Power Systems, and director - trade marketing of Eveready Battery Company. He currently serves as a director for Leggett and Platt.

As the former chief executive officer of a maker and global marketer of snack foods and through his director and public company audit committee roles, David V. Singer brings extensive management and financial experience to our Board, as well as experience in the supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, and distribution matters. Mr. Singer’s experience in corporate finance, governance, and acquisitions is beneficial to the Board in several areas including oversight of external auditors and internal controls.

From 2010 to 2013, Mr. Singer served as chief executive officer of Snyder’s-Lance, Inc., a leading snack food company. He was president and chief executive officer of Lance, Inc. from 2005 to 2010 and held the titles of executive vice president and chief financial officer of Coca-Cola Bottling Company Consolidated from 2001 to 2005. Presently, Mr. Singer is a director at Flowers Foods, Inc., Hanesbrands, Inc., and SPX Flow, Inc., and he previously served as a director of Lance, Inc. and Snyder’s-Lance, Inc.

With almost 40 years of experience in global manufacturing and manufacturing information systems businesses, Jane L. Warner has a particular appreciation for the challenges facing our operations, distribution network, and customers. Her leadership roles in these diverse companies, along with the financial understanding she has gained through her business unit leadership, assists our Board in working through the issues that confront our global businesses.

From 2007 to 2013 she was the executive vice president of Decorative Surfaces and Finishing Systems of Illinois Tool Works Inc., a diversified manufacturer of highly engineered components and industrial systems and consumables.

From 2005 to 2007, Ms. Warner served as group president of Global Finishing Systems of Illinois Tool Works Inc. She was president of Plexus Systems, L.L.C. (now known as Plex), an online manufacturing software company from 2004 to 2005; vice president of Electronic Data Systems from 2000 to 2004; and executive vice president and president of Kautex North America and Randall divisions for Textron Automotive from 1994 to 1999.

Formerly, Ms. Warner held executive positions in manufacturing, engineering, and human resources over 20 years at General Motors Corporation. Currently, she is a director of Regal Beloit Corporation and Tenneco Inc. and previously served as director of MeadWestvaco Corporation.

As the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of a mining and manufacturing company with operations on several continents, J. Steven Whisler has extensive experience with international business operations and regulatory compliance matters. Additionally, Mr. Whisler’s background enables him to provide strategic advice and guidance to our Company’s management and Board regarding finances, human resources, and risk oversight matters.

From 2000 to 2007, Mr. Whisler served as chairman and chief executive officer of Phelps Dodge Corporation, a mining and manufacturing company. He was employed by Phelps Dodge Corporation and served in several positions since 1976, including president and chief operating officer. Mr. Whisler is a director of CSX Corporation and International Paper Company (Presiding Director 2009 to 2017). Previously, he served as a director of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation and U.S. Airways Group, Inc.

As co-CEO of one of the world’s largest designers, manufacturers, and marketers of ride performance and clean air products and systems, in addition to his previous experience, Roger J. Wood brings substantial expertise regarding manufacturing, technology, and customer solutions to Brunswick’s Board. Mr. Wood’s current role, plus his previous experience at Dana Holding Corporation and another Tier-1 automotive supplier, provides unique insight and significant knowledge to the Board in the areas of manufacturing operations, business management, global operations, and strategic planning.

He has served as co-chief executive officer of Tenneco Inc. since July 2018. From February to July 2018, he was chairman and chief executive officer of Fallbrook Technologies Inc., a privately held technology developer and manufacturer.

He served as president and chief executive officer of Dana Holding Corporation, a world leader in the supply of axles, driveshafts, off-highway transmissions, sealing, thermal-management products, and genuine service parts from 2011 to 2015.

From 2010 to 2011, Mr. Wood was the group president of BorgWarner, Inc., a worldwide automotive industry components and parts supplier. He was also the executive vice president of BorgWarner Inc. from 2009 to 2011 and president of BorgWarner Turbo Systems Inc. and BorgWarner Emissions Systems Inc. from 2005 to 2009. Presently, he is a member of the board of directors of Tenneco Inc. and Fallbrook Technologies.
