Brunswick Corporation : Brunswick Employees Gain ABYC Certification

LAKE FOREST, Ill., June 3, 2015 - In Edgewater, Fla. recently, the Brunswick
Boat Group hosted the ABYC Standards Certification and Marine Systems Fast Trac,
resulting in 36 new ABYC technician certifications.

The American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC) is the leader in the development of
technical safety standards, education and professional certification for the
marine industry. The Fast Trac program provides students with a faster, less
expensive pathway to certification.

"There is a one-day class commitment, with a Q-and-A review of all the material,
and then an exam," said Ed Sherman, ABYC's vice president/education director.
"Prior to the one-day session, the ABYC assigns the student an instructor, who
sends the student study guide material. The instructor remains ready to answer
questions via phone or e-mail as the student works through the material."

"It was an honor to teach the ABYC Standards Certification and Marine Systems
Fast Trac to Brunswick employees," said Denis Bonneau, ABYC instructor. "It is
through the efforts of companies like the Brunswick Boat Group, working with
ABYC, which ensures boaters receive safe, high quality products and services."

"We train our employees through ABYC's education programs in an effort to impart
compliance of the standards to the workforce and further support our commitment
to provide our customers a safe and reliable product," said Dave Marlow,
director of product integrity and government affairs for Brunswick Boat Group.
"In my humble opinion, it helps set us apart and allows Brunswick to stay on top
of a changing regulatory landscape."

ABYC offers eight different marine certification opportunities, which are held
around the country. To find out more about ABYC Certifications, visit
