Brunswick Corporation : Crestliner Pro John Cox Nets FLW Forrest Wood Cup

OTSEGO, Minn., August 11, 2016
HUNTSVILLE, AL-Crestliner Pro Team angler John Cox fought his way through an
impressive line-up of FLW anglers over three days on Wheeler Lake to take home
the Forrest Wood Cup on Sunday, Aug. 7, alongside a $300,000 Grand Prize. This
is Cox's third career FLW tour win, and his first at FLW Wal-Mart Tour's
pinnacle event.

After impressive fishing performances Friday and Saturday, Cox stood alone
Sunday on the sport's biggest stage to receive his prize -- and make a bit of
fishing history. He's the first pro to ever win a modern world championship bass
fishing event from an aluminum boat-Crestliner's PT20. Cox has competed in a
Crestliner since his first FLW tour in 2011. The victory proved to the fishing
world that world-championship bass fishing is possible from an aluminum boat.

"John's has been an amazing partner with Crestliner for a long time, he really
appreciates all that Crestliner bass boats do for him on the water, the
durability, performance and getting into tighter spaces," says Lori Kneeland,
Crestliner director of marketing.

"It's just been an amazing week," Cox says. "I didn't think that one spot had
enough fish in it to win, but it did. I've tried to get back in places like that
in other Forrest Wood Cups to win, and it just didn't work out. But Wheeler Lake
has so many of those little log-infested creeks, and I knew this would be a
great opportunity to make it work, and it did."

Adds Kneeland, "If anyone had doubts about what an aluminum fishing boat was
capable of in high-stakes bass fishing, John Cox just set the record straight."

After bringing in a five-bass limit from some of Wheeler Lake's most remote
locations on Sunday, and upping his tournament total to 54 lbs., 13 oz., Cox
secured the victory.
