David M. Foulkes
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
David M. Foulkes is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Brunswick Corporation, the global leader in marine recreation. He has served as CEO since January 2019 and was elected Chairman of the Board in March 2025.
Since becoming CEO, Foulkes has led Brunswick’s transformation into a more technology-driven, innovation-focused enterprise, strengthening its portfolio of category-leading marine brands while positioning the company for sustained growth and resilience in a dynamic global environment. Under his leadership, Brunswick has earned widespread recognition for innovation, design, and performance, receiving more than 400 industry and business awards over the past four years, including recognition from Fast Company as one of the World’s Most Innovative Companies. Foulkes himself has been named to Crain’s Chicago Business “Who’s Who” for the past two consecutive years, reflecting his leadership influence within the broader business community.
Foulkes joined Brunswick in 2007 and has held a series of senior leadership roles across the organization. Prior to becoming CEO, he served as President of Brunswick Marine Consumer Solutions and as Chief Technology Officer, where he oversaw global product development, advanced engineering, and enterprise-wide innovation initiatives. Earlier in his tenure, he led product development at Mercury Marine for more than a decade and served as President of Mercury Racing, helping drive the development of industry-leading propulsion technologies that continue to shape the marine market.
Before joining Brunswick, Foulkes spent 18 years with Ford Motor Company in a variety of engineering and leadership roles, where he gained deep experience in product development, manufacturing, and global operations. He also held positions with Shell Exploration and the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence early in his career.
Foulkes currently serves on the Board of Directors of Brunswick Corporation and is a Director of Vontier Corporation.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering and a Master of Science in Structural and Fluid Mechanics from Imperial College London.
